Filming a Conversation/ Dialogue Scene
Introduction:
Filming a conversation between two characters is a fundamental skill in film making. For this assignment you will be working in groups of 3 to create a series of footage of a conversation between 2 people.
Assignment Criteria:
- Must have dialogue between 2 characters
- Must incorporate AT LEAST 5 cut types
- Must contain soundtrack in place of actual dialogue

Tips and Things to Consider while planning out your shoot:
Tip 1: Use the 180 Degree Rule
Tip 2: Camera Angles
- Start with establishing shot (creates relationship)
- Over the shoulder shot
- Close up
- Left or Right
Tip 3: Composition
- Rule of thirds (creates balance)
- Take size of characters into consideration
- Give 2/3rd to the main subject
Tip 4: Use Multiple Cameras (If Applicable)
