Tour of a Room
Criteria:
- Film an interior room (does not have to be your bedroom)
- Must be less that 1-1 1/2 minutes long (Please take more footage than you need)
- Must have a soundtrack (will discuss later)
Tips for taking footage:
- Probably should "clean your room first"
- Sit in the room and look around (look at the room from the eyes of a cinematographer)
- Start with an establishing shot ( maybe panning of whole room)
- Find the details (focus on small things that make the room unique such as "knick knacks" and decor
- Highlight an architectural details)
- Refer to the camera movements page (http://gihsfilm.weebly.com/types-of-cuts.html)
- Think about "Jump Cuts" to new subject
- Move slowly and keep a steady hand (camera)
- Whereas you can do this in one shot, take multiple shots and we can combine them later.
